When your vehicle is stuck, you can press a button to engage the E-Locker. This powers an internal magnet, which pushes a gear to lock both half-axles together. This effectively sends 100% of the available torque equally to both wheels on the axle, giving you maximum traction to get out of difficult situations.

The TRE E-Locker now has a new gear that increases its locking depth to 5mm, up from the standard 2mm. This deeper lock fundamentally solves issues of unintentional unlocking and provides a more secure hold than similar products. The new gear is nickel-plated for superior rust and wear resistance, which significantly extends the product's lifespan and improves its locking efficiency.

The inclusion of a wave spring significantly enhances the stability and durability of the locking and unlocking mechanism. Its compact design, which fits tightly in radial and axial spaces, is key. Crucially, wave springs are 50% shorter than standard coil springs, eliminating the need for deep spring holes in the clutch gear and thereby greatly increasing its strength.
